“SKY BROADBAND REVEALS ‘THE FORTY-SEVEN %’ TO MARK HISTORIC ARRIVAL OF FIRST-OF-ITS-KIND WOMEN’S ESPORTS FINAL”
Nearly half of UK gamers are women, but only 5% are pro. That's because there’s no real tournament structure between amateur play and pro esports. So together with Sky Broadband and Guild Esports, we changed the game and created an entire tournament series powered by Sky Full Fibre. Culminating in the UK’s first-ever Women’s Esports Finals — a platform designed to bridge the gap and make the pro scene more accessible to a wave of female talent.
We launched with The Forty-Seven %. A striking squad photo consisting of 47 gamers, streamers and cultural icons including Lady Leshurr, Naomi Schiff, YammyXoX, Ebonix, SunPi, Chloe Burrows, Talia Mar and Rachel Daly. Standing together to represent the future of competitive gaming. A moment that turned a statistic into a statement.
