AN ESPORTS TOURNAMENT IN A 150°F CHAMBER 


Being ‘Sweaty’ is a negative phrase used in the world of gaming to suggest a gamer who ‘tries too hard’. But, to be a high performing esports gamer sometimes you need to break a sweat to reach the top.

We flipped the gaming term on its head to create the hottest esports tournament for amateur gamers, on a broadband connection that’s pure fire with the ultimate prize of an esports pro contract (all powered by SKY Full Fibre). The catch? These players weren’t just sweating it out in game, but in a climate controlled chamber that heated up to 150 degrees Fahrenheit, that we called THE SWEAT ROOM. It was an experiential challenge and a first of it’s kind, live-streamed across Twitter and YouTube, that allowed viewers to turn up the heat by interacting with the chat stream.
