My wife and I bought a little plot of land 60 metres from the beach in the south of Brazil.
We designed and built the house in 2022 (with the support of two wise builders) whilst I took a 6 month sabbatical. The entire project was complete within a year.
Towards the final phases, the area was on red alert for an incoming tropical cyclone and locals were leaving the town whilst it passed. We decided to stay and see how strong the house was. A Captain goes down with their ship, right?! Luckily this ship is still sailing.
We might paint it navy blue.
